Hunt for two Aussies who are yet to claim more than $4 million prize from Lotto win

Two Australians are walking around, oblivious to the fact they are now multi-millionaires.

The two mysterious millionaires are the remaining winners from Thursday’s Powerball draw.

The small NSW town of Wentworth, in the far southwest of NSW, has 10 new millionaires after a syndicate scored a $40 million Powerball jackpot.

The 10-person syndicate held the only division one winning entry in the Powerball draw.

The group also scored division two a whopping 19 times, division eight four times and division nine once, bringing the group’s total win to $40,517,739

Each member will take home $4,051,773.90 in winnings.

The group members purchased a syndicate share from their local newsagency.

But two members may not have learned their new millionaire status, with a spokesperson for The Lott confirming they have yet to claim their prizes.

Members of the syndicate are urged to check their tickets.

One winner who has claimed their prize said she “can’t believe it”.

“That’s really good,” she told an official from The Lott.

“We’re only a small town, and it’s crazy to think there’s now 10 multi-millionaires here.”

Syndicate members bought their tickets at Wentworth Lotto and News in Wentworth.

Owner Rowan Congress was stunned but ecstatic the big jackpot had landed in her small town.

“Oh, that’s beautiful!” she said.

“That’s great news for Wentworth. We’re in the middle of nowhere!”
